Additional Bath Rails information.
There are a variety of rails available which provide you with additional support when getting in and out of the bath
Bath side rails are used to provide support to help you get in and out of the bath. They fix to the outside edge of your bath but can get
in the way of other aids that you may use. Bath side rails are supplied with a base plate which must be fixed into the floor. A bath side rail cannot be used with a bath board.
Bath tap rails can help you get out of the bath but you need to be able to flex well at the hips and knees in order to use them.
Good grip and upper arm strength are also needed to pull yourself up. Many people who use a bath seat find bath tap rails useful as
the rail moves up as you stand.
